I have been busy trying to restock the shop and revamp the blog. Sadly in order to do that I needed to erase a couple of posts I couldn't figure out how to fix. Apparently my techie skills are not what they once were. Either way, we've revamped and in the end I decided the look I had was the one I wanted. So I unrevamped. And now here I am.

So what's new with 2012? Well, for starters I am working to figure out how I can work as much knitting as possible into my day between the day job and the writing career. The days of dreaming of writing all morning and knitting all afternoon, at this point, remains just that - a dream. But don't count me out just yet. I'm working on a plan...

In the meantime, here is my latest offering. I knitted a pair of these for my sister for Christmas (let's not discuss the first pair I did for her, there was a gaffe with the gauge and needless to say, her husband is know enjoying them). I have to say, I was most pleased with how they turned out. I drafted the pattern out and this was my first go at it. Thankfully it worked. I don't think my poor sister would have appreciated waiting much longer for her Christmas gift.

Now that those are done, and posted as a Made to Order on my Etsy shop, I'm hard at work on a few other items. Mainly, a cowl made from Manos merino wool which is so soft it's unreal. I am loving how the colourways are knitting up and I can't wait to see the finished product.

If all goes well, I will have this done shortly and posted on the shop.

I also need to knit up a couple of faeries in a tulip for my niece's birthday in a couple of weeks. This is a pattern from Spud & Chloe creator which is great gift for those who love the faerie folk!

Welcome to At Knit's End - the blog. (cue music)

This blog will serve as an addendum to my Etsy shop, At Knit's End to keep everyone up to date on what items are upcoming, in progress, etc. As well, it will give me a place to talk about all things knitting, profile my current favorite shops and discover new ones.

I hope you'll visit often, and leave comments and questions. I'll do my best to keep the blog updated with all the news I think will be of interest.
